CORE82A Overview
The Sound Barrier CORE82A is a compact, full-range two-way active line array module engineered for touring, installed sound, and live production applications where high output and precise pattern control are required in a manageable form factor. The low-frequency section employs two 8-inch Neodymium drivers with 2-inch voice coils, while the high-frequency section uses a 1.4-inch throat, 3-inch voice coil Neodymium horn element designed to produce a low-curvature vertical wavefront with 109dB efficiency at 1m for a 1W input. The optimized HF wavefront geometry allows enclosures within the array to be splayed up to 10 degrees without introducing vertical coverage gaps. This module is suited for audio engineers, system integrators, touring companies, and venues requiring a scalable, self-powered line array solution.
The CORE82A integrates a two-channel, 1000W RMS Class D amplifier capable of driving its companion passive cabinet, the CORE 82P, or operating within a fully active array configuration, providing deployment flexibility across a wide range of production scenarios.
