The Q5X AquaMic is a waterproof, fully submersible wireless bodypack transmitter developed through a collaborative technology effort between Q5X and Shure, designed to operate exclusively with Shure Axient Digital wireless receivers. Tested by Q5X to remain submersible in water up to 10 meters, it is purpose-built for reality television, film production, and sports broadcasting where conventional transmitters cannot survive. It leverages Axient Digital’s advanced encryption and spectrum efficiency to maintain transmission integrity in complex RF environments. Available in two versions, Regular and LongLife, it gives production teams flexibility based on runtime requirements.
The AquaMic integrates directly into existing Axient Digital workflows, eliminating the need for additional infrastructure while extending deployment capability to aquatic and extreme-environment scenarios.
