The Hosa DIB-443 is the passive model in the Pro-Conex Sidekick direct box series, designed to connect high-impedance instruments to mixing consoles and DAWs without the need for batteries or phantom power. The unit employs a transformer-based isolation circuit to convert unbalanced instrument-level signals to a balanced, line-level output, eliminating ground noise and hum across long cable runs.
