Audix MicroPod Series — Modular Gooseneck Condenser Microphone System
MicroPod Series Overview
The Audix MicroPod Series is a modular gooseneck microphone system pairing the M1250B miniature condenser microphone with a choice of 6, 12, or 18-inch gooseneck, purpose-built for presentations, conferencing, meetings, and installed sound applications. The system delivers a frequency range of 50 Hz to 19 kHz with natural speech reproduction and strong transient response, while its uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern isolates the speaker from ambient room noise. Designed, machined, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA, the MicroPod Series is well suited for audio engineers, AV integrators, houses of worship, and corporate installation professionals. The gooseneck terminates in a standard XLRm connector and is compatible with any microphone in the Audix Micros Series, providing broad application flexibility across installations.
The MicroPod Series features a machined brass microphone body with an integrated mic preamp, a field-replaceable capsule, and a non-reflective black matte finish suited for on-camera and presentation environments. It is compatible with the Audix ATS Series table stand with lit on/off switch, and can also be mounted on a standard mic stand using the DCLIP microphone stand adapter.
Key Features
- Modular System Design — M1250B miniature condenser pairs with 6, 12, or 18-inch gooseneck for flexible deployment across a range of installation depths and table configurations
- Micros Series Compatibility — Gooseneck accepts any microphone from the Audix Micros Series, expanding application range without additional hardware investment
- Cardioid Polar Pattern — Uniformly controlled cardioid pattern isolates the speaker from ambient noise; hypercardioid and shotgun patterns also available for tighter or more focused pickup
- Frequency Range: 50 Hz to 19 kHz — Wide response optimized for natural speech reproduction with exceptional transient accuracy
- RF Immunity — Built-in resistance to radio frequency interference, critical for conferencing and broadcast environments with dense wireless traffic
- Field-Replaceable Capsule — Capsule can be swapped in the field without returning the unit for service, reducing downtime in installed applications
- Integrated Mic Preamp — Machined brass body houses an onboard preamp for consistent signal quality from capsule to XLR output
- Phantom Power Operation — Requires 18 to 52 volts phantom power, compatible with the full range of professional mixing consoles and conferencing interfaces
- USA Manufactured — Designed, machined, assembled, and tested by Audix in the United States
Connectivity & I/O
