DN43 Overview
The Audix DN43 is an analog-to-Dante and AES67 microphone interface built as a core component of the Audix Dante/AES67 Integrated Microphone System, designed to stream professional microphone audio across standard Ethernet infrastructure. It provides 24-bit, 48kHz high-fidelity audio with all microphone functions, including on/off contact closure and LED status indicators, transmitted over a single shielded CAT cable with RJ45 connections at both the interface and microphone. The DN43 includes one input specifically engineered for the Audix M3 tri-element microphone and one input for Audix RJ45-equipped single-element microphones, with each channel independently configurable for gain and filtering. It is well suited for system integrators, AV installers, and facilities deploying networked audio in conference rooms, houses of worship, and broadcast environments.
All settings, including eight selectable gain levels and low/high-pass filter configurations, are managed via software, with flash memory ensuring settings are retained through power loss events. The DN43 is designed, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA, and is evaluated to UL2043 requirements for above-ceiling installation.
