Audix MicroPod Series — Modular Gooseneck Condenser Microphone System
MicroPod Series Overview
The Audix MicroPod Series is a modular gooseneck microphone system built around the M1250B miniature condenser microphone combined with a choice of 6, 12, or 18-inch gooseneck. Engineered for presentations, meetings, and teleconferencing environments, the system delivers a frequency response of 50 Hz to 19 kHz with natural speech reproduction and exceptional transient response. The uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern isolates the speaker from ambient room noise, with hypercardioid and shotgun pattern options available for tighter or more focused pickup. This system is well suited for audio engineers, AV integrators, houses of worship, corporate facilities, and broadcast environments requiring reliable, consistent speech capture.
The MicroPod gooseneck is compatible with any microphone in the Audix Micros Series, providing integrators with broad flexibility across applications. The system terminates in a standard XLR male connector and is available in a non-reflective black matte finish. Designed, machined, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA.
Key Features
- Modular System Design — M1250B miniature condenser microphone pairs with 6, 12, or 18-inch gooseneck for application-specific configuration
- Field-Replaceable Capsule — Allows on-site capsule swaps without returning the full unit, reducing downtime in installed environments
- Machined Brass Microphone Body with Integrated Preamp — Precision construction with a built-in mic preamp for consistent, low-noise signal performance
- Cardioid Polar Pattern — Uniformly controlled pattern isolates the speaker and rejects ambient noise; hypercardioid and shotgun patterns also available
- Wide Frequency Range — 50 Hz to 19 kHz captures natural speech with accurate transient response
- RF Immunity — Designed to reject radio frequency interference common in meeting rooms and conference environments
- Micros Series Compatibility — Gooseneck accepts any Audix Micros Series microphone capsule, expanding application flexibility
- Phantom Power Operation — Requires 18 to 52 Volts phantom power; compatible with standard mixing consoles and preamps
- ATS Series Table Stand Compatible — Designed for use with the Audix ATS Series table stand featuring a lit on/off switch; also compatible with standard mic stands using the DCLIP adapter (accessories sold separately)
