Audix M3DK — Dante | AES67 Ceiling Microphone and Interface Kit
M3DK Overview
The Audix M3DK is a complete kit combining the Audix M3 tri-element hanging ceiling microphone with the Audix DN43 Dante | AES67 microphone interface, delivering a network-ready audio solution designed for straightforward installation in any Ethernet-based infrastructure. The M3’s three phase-coherent hypercardioid capsules are frequency and pattern optimized for voice clarity and ambient noise rejection, making this kit well-suited for conference rooms, houses of worship, courtrooms, and other speech-critical environments. The DN43 interface outputs 24-bit, 48kHz high-fidelity audio over a standard network connection and is fully Dante Domain Manager (DDM) ready. This kit is intended for AV integrators, system designers, and facilities requiring a clean, scalable ceiling microphone deployment without dedicated analog infrastructure.
The M3DK simplifies installation by using a plenum-rated junction box with RJ45 connectivity on the microphone side and PoE power delivery on the interface side, eliminating the need for separate power supplies or analog snake runs.
Key Features
- Tri-Element Hypercardioid Design — The M3 uses three phase-coherent hypercardioid capsules tailored for voice clarity and rejection of extraneous noise, providing evenly dispersed pickup with undetectable phase artifacts
- Dante | AES67 Network Audio — The DN43 interface streams audio over standard Ethernet, supporting Dante Domain Manager (DDM) for scalable network audio management
- 24-Bit / 48kHz Audio Resolution — The DN43 delivers high-fidelity digital audio output suitable for professional speech reinforcement and recording applications
- PoE Powered Operation — The DN43 operates on Power over Ethernet from any IEEE 802.3af compliant switch or injector, requiring no external power supply
- Dual Microphone Port Configuration — One port is engineered exclusively for the Audix M3 tri-element microphone; a second port accommodates Audix RJ45-equipped single-element microphones
- Independent Per-Channel DSP Controls — Each channel features selectable, independently controlled preamp gain along with low-pass and high-pass filters for tailored signal processing at the interface level
- Balanced Inputs with RFI Filtering — Balanced audio inputs on the DN43 include RFI filtering to maintain signal integrity in electrically noisy environments
- Logic I/O for LED and Button Integration — Two 5V logic outputs per port with source/sink capability support LED status indicators on equipped microphones; one logic input per single-element port supports button functionality
- 100% RF Shielding and TAA Compliant — The M3 provides full RF shielding and immunity, and the kit is TAA compliant for government and institutional procurement requirements
